POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a gang of up to 15 youths attacked a teenager with a barrage of bottles.

A 16-year teen suffered cuts to the face after he was pelted with bottles in Howard Road, Ilford, at around 9.30pm on Saturday night (July 11).

No arrests have been made, and officers are keen to track down those responsible.

The teenage victim said there were between five and 15 members of the gang, but he only got a good look at two of them.

The first suspect is described as a black 5ft10 youth aged between 17 and 18 years old, who was wearing a matching puma tracksuit with cream-coloured stripes.

The second suspect is another black teen aged 17 to 18, who was wearing a top with the word 'Mckenzie' on the back.
