THE Leytonstone Festival may have begun last week, but it's still in full swing this weekend with a host of superb artists all lined up waiting to bring pleasure to your ears.

On Thursday (July 16), the wonderfully folky Other Theresa play the Sheepwalk at 8.30pm.

Entry is £5.

Alternatively you can see the amazing John Ellis with his 'Looprovisation' show at the Luna Lounge from 8pm. Entry is £8.

Meanwhile over at The Heathcote Arms the hilariously un-PC Four Poofs and a Piano play from 8pm.

Perhaps best known for their role in BBC1's Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, these lads play amusing classics backed up by some smooth piano. Entry is £10, or £7 for concessions.

Local promoters What's Cookin' are joining in on the fun with their own shows at the Sheepwalk on Saturday and the Henry Reynolds Gardens on Sunday.

Saturday sees Scottish folk master Mi Mye and psychedelic folk rocksters Mary Epworth and The Jubilee Band.

Support comes from singer songwriter Lucas Renney.

On Sunday in the Garden from 12 noon till 7pm, a strong line-up including Little George Sueref and his band, The Coal Porters, The Snakes, The Loving Cup, Graham Larkbey and The Escape Committee, and Jawbone will all be entertaining the crowds - hopefully in glorious sunshine.

But if you can't wait till then, on Friday (July 17) 60s trio Dr Strangely Strange play the Plough Inn, Walthamstow.

Support comes from Graham Larkbey.

Advance tickets cost £7 each, with doors opening at 8pm.

On Thursday (July 16) at the Standard in Walthamstow, Club Bus Wind presents Reaping Havoc, Biomortal and Phyrexia.

Doors open around 8.30pm and entry is £6 or £5 with a band flyer.
