STAFF, parents and pupils at a Chigwell school have ended their school year on a high with a positive Ofsted report.

Chigwell Primary School, located in the High Road was judged as "good" by inspectors, who praised staff for improving standards of English and Mathematics.

The school was also praised for the well-behaved pupils and the "harmonious" atmosphere, which inspectors said added to the overall good care, guidance and support on offer.

Headteacher Karen Jacobs said she was delighted with the report.

She said: "This is a brilliant way to end an exciting year. Our children were real stars throughout the intense two day inspection process.

"A huge amount of thanks need to made to our “A” team - our fantastic staff, delightful pupils, supportive parents and dedicated governors."
