MORE than 80 people enjoyed an afternoon of sunshine and music at a retirement home's summer party.
Staff, residents and their families danced to the sounds of the 50s and 60s at The Chestnuts Nursing Home, Cambridge Park, Wanstead.
A singer performed a medley of musical classics for the party-goers who divided their time between the delicious buffet on offer and the dance floor.
Staff member Shirley Leach said a great time was had by all.
She added: “We had a singer who performed all sorts of music from the 50s and 60s which makes the service users reminisce.
“It was more successful than last year as we had sunshine rather than the rain.”
