POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in broad daylight.
The woman was walking along Airthrie Road in Ilford at around 11am last Friday (July 17) when she was approached by a black man aged in his 40s.
The man then attacked her before running off in the direction of Barkingside.
He is described as being of stocky build with "a bit of a belly" and is about 5ft10 tall.
Police have not revealed the nature of the assault.
