A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with attempted murder after a man had acid poured down his throat in a suspected 'honour' attack.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons appeared at Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

Two men from Walthamstow, aged 19 and 25, are also accused of attempted murder. They appeared in court on Thursday.

The victim was stabbed and had acid poured down his throat during the attack in Marchant Road, Leytonstone, on July 2.

The man's tongue is believed to have been destroyed by the acid and he has been left blind in one eye.

He remains in a coma in hospital.

All three accused are due to appear at the Old Bailey on October 28.
