PEDESTRIANS and motorists were lucky to escape serious injury after a dramatic crash on Saturday.
A forklift truck hit a bus before careering into a tree and tipping over on its side, in Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow.
A 30-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Whipps Cross Hospital, where he was treated for minor head injuries.
Nobody else was hurt in the crash.
The accident, near Blackhorse Road tube station, happened shortly before 8am.
