THE Wild West came to an equestrian centre when cowboys visited for a charity event.

Youngsters dressed up in cowboy gear to take part in a bear hunt, create trails through the wood and play themed games at the Woodredon Equestrian Centre in Waltham Abbey.

Proprietor of the centre Sandra Butchart said: “It was a fantastic day. We had about 70 people and we had a barbecue and games.

"We had Western cowboys come along and they did racing and got two of our staff up on the horse to have a go. It was amazing.”

More than £500 was raised on the day for the Clair Sadler Trust Fund for terminally ill teenagers.
