A MOBILE phone containing images of the abuse of Baby P is still hidden in Epping Forest, with police admitting they have yet to find it.
The phone, owned by Baby Peter's killer Steven Barker, is said to have been buried in a hole in the ground in the forest to prevent its incriminating evidence being used.
The former girlfriend of Barker's brother Jason Owen, told today's Sunday Mirror they were at a camp in the forest when Steven Barker went off into the woods to bury the phone which she remembered he had recorded images on.
She told police about the incident but they have so far been unable to locate it despite a search.
Barker was jailed for a minimum of 12 years for his responsibility for the death of Baby Peter.
