TWO people have been killed in a road crash.
A black Yamaha motorcycle and silver Mitsubishi Pajero struck each other at the junction of London Road, and Shonks Mill Road, in Stanford Rivers, at 2.30pm today (Sunday August 16).
The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s believed to be from in Harlow, and a rear-seat passenger in the Mitsubishi, an 87-year-old woman from Loughton, were both declared dead at the scene.
Police are currently trying to identify the friends and family of the motorcyclist to help them with identification.
The motorcyclist was travelling towards Abridge while the 4x4 vehicle was turning right into Shonks Mill Road after having travelled from Abridge.
A section of the road remains closed, but is expected to reopen later this evening.
