AN illegal rave was broken up by police on Sunday morning (August 16).
Police were called to Walthamstow Marshes off Coppermill Lane at about 10.15am to reports of a large number of people gathered on the marshes.
Cars were reportedly blocking the road in Coppermill Lane and a park ranger made the call to the police.
No other offences were reported and no arrests were made.
A sound system was dismantled and the crowd dispersed by 11am.
