PROFESSIONAL wrestling is coming to Chingford with an event next month.

Revolution British Wrestling (RBW) is aiming to put British wrestling back on the map and has put on shows in areas including Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire, and Yorkshire.

It is now putting on a promotion at Ryan Hall at the junction of Chingford Mount Road/Larkswood Road on Saturday March 6 at 7.30pm.

Wrestlers on the RBW books include deaf and dumb, 40 year wrestling legend Alan Kilby, Sheffield's blonde bombshell "Rock 'n' Roll Express" Blondie Barratt, London's dynamic "number one" James Mason and Blackpool's Sammy Ray (who recently appeared on TV's The Salon).

On the Chingford bill will be British Championship matches, which sees the British Welterweight, British Middleweight and British Tag Team crowns all on the line.

Current British Welterweight Champion "The Gift" Ross Jordan (Hertfordshire) is set to defend his championship against young star Anton Green (Hackney, London).

TV's very own technical wrestling star of the 80s and current British Middleweight Champion, Johnny Kidd (Luton) is set to defend against Colombia's invading "Misfit" Jorge Castano.

In tag team bouts, the "Southern Alliance" tag team duo and reigning British Tag Team Champions, Stixx (London) and Chris Wyld (Maidstone), take on Sheffield's Will Assault and Chingford's very own Karl Fury.

Fans will be treated to five contests of professional wrestling, consisting of three single one-on-one contests, a tag team contest and finished off with a traditional Battle Royal, which features all of the evening's wrestlers in the ring at once, along with a few extra surprises, in an over-the-top rope elimination match, with the last wrestler standing being declared the king of the ring.

Doors open at 7.30pm with the first match scheduled for 8.00pm.

Tickets are now on sale via the official RBW website www.revolutionbritishwrestling.co.uk and by telephone on 07940-476612.

They cost £8.00 for adults, £6.00 for children/OAPs and £25.00 for a family ticket.
