THE artistic flair of pupils from Churchfields Primary School in South Woodford was rewarded by the organisers of National Pet Month.
Around 120 children had a hand in creating the award-winning collages on the theme of healthy, happy pets which won the school £250 of Argos vouchers.
Teacher Tina Nicholson said the whole experience had been fantastic and that the children really enjoyed learning about the range of different animals.
The budding artists also received freebies from Goddard's Vets, including weather station clocks and goody bags containing colouring materials.
Staff from the vets’ brought in some of their own pets so the children could continue learning about how to be gentle with animals.
National Pet Month's Emma Tombling said the pupils had done an excellent job and said that the scheme was aimed creating responsible pet owners of the future.
