DAGENHAM and Redbridge’s stunning start to the season continues despite only managing to draw with Morecombe.

John Still’s men remain hot on the heels of League Two leaders Bournemouth in second, trailing by only four points after today’s (Saturday) 1-1 draw against Morecombe.

Josh Scott gave Daggers the lead after 36 minutes but Morecambe equalised in the second half.

The visitors were awarded a penalty after Tony Roberts challenged Stewart Drummond unfairly.

The Welsh goalkeeper went into the book for unsporting behaviour.

Phil Jevons slotted the resulting spot kick home to give the Lancashire side a share of the points.
