A WOMAN was rescued by fire-fighters following a crash on the Chingford/Walthamstow border this morning.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was cut free from the crushed car by fire-fighters using specialist cutting equipment.

She was taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital as a priority, to be treated for leg injuries.

Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

She was treated at the scene by ambulance crews, who were called to the accident at 8am today (Wednesday) while fire-fighters attended ten minutes later.

Two cars were involved in a collision between the Crooked Billet roundabout on the North Circular Road and Chingford Road, Chingford.
