BEST-SELLING historical novelist Alison Weir is visiting the district this Thursday (November 19) as part of an event organised by the Epping Bookshop.

Ms Weir, famous for her works such as The Lady Elizabeth and the Innocent Traitor, will be speaking about her new book The Lady in the Tower at St John's Church in St John's Road, Epping.

Tickets are £3, including wine and canapes, and are available from the bookshop on the High Street.

The talk starts at 7.30pm.
