THE Government's chief dental advisor Barry Cockcroft is to officially open Epping's Tooth Booth dentist practice tomorrow (Wednesday, November 25).

The NHS facility, in the High Street, started treating patients in February but has never formally been declared open by health bosses until now.

It comes after Dr Amit Rai, co-principal of The Tooth Booth, was nominated for several awards at the 2009 Dentistry Awards.

He said: "Since opening earlier this year we have been touched by the warm welcome we have received from the local community.”

Mr Cockcroft, who has been the NHS's Chief Dental Officer since July 2006, is the Government’s most senior dental advisor for England and the professional head of dental staff in England.
