SERVICES have resumed on train routes through Ilford after the station was closed earlier this evening when a man died under a train.
A spokesman for Network Rail said that it was believed the man had jumped from a platform at the station at 5.37pm this evening in front of the 5.25pm train from Liverpool Street to Southend.
Four lines at the station were immediately suspended with two re-opening at 7.10pm and all services returning to normal by 7.55pm.
A spokesman for the British Transport police said they had now handed control of the station back to Network Rail and it was not thought that the death was suspicious.
