MORE than 70 items of counterfeit clothing were spotted in a Walthamstow High Street shop following a joint council and police operation.
Officers found counterfeit polo shirts, t-shirts and jeans.
The trader, whose identity has so far not been revealed by the council, was issued an official warning and the items surrendered.
A council spokesman said: “The trader was warned and the items were voluntarily surrendered into the custody of trading standards officers and the premises will be monitored.”
Six market stall traders were also issued warnings after their stalls were found to have trademarked goods.
