THREE people from Waltham Forest have won funding enabling them to carry out two-month work placements at charities.
Thomas Eglington, of Evanston Avenue, Highams Park, will work for the Samaritans, Daniela Oliveros, of Brettenham Road, Walthamstow, will work for the Prince's Trust and Paul Greaney of Calderon Road, Leytonstone, will work for Contact the Elderly.
The trio will each be paid £2,500 by Vodafone to carry out the placements.
They were among 500 applicants to be selected for funding by the phone company.
