HARRY Cohen claims he has been worth "millions" to his constituency over the years - according to a report in a national newspaper.

The Mail on Sunday has quoted the Wanstead and Leyton MP as saying he has been "enormous value for money" for residents in the area and that he had brought "millions of pounds into the local economy and public services."

His alleged comments come after he received £65,000 in wrongly claimed second-home allowances.

The Commons standards watchdog found him guilty of a 'serious breach' of expenses rules and told him that he would have to forfeit his £65,000 pay-off when he stands down as an MP at the next election.

Mr Cohen has yet to comment.
