THE Winged Fellowship Trust is inviting people to take part in the Ben Nevis Challenge over the weekend of October 8.
The challenge will raise vital funds for the trust, which provides breaks for disabled people and carers and various centres, including Jubilee Lodge, Chigwell.
There is no climbing involved, and walkers will be taken on a sponsored ascent of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain at 4,408ft (1,344m).
The route will take about eight hours in total, five going up, and three down. The maximum gradient will allow any normally active person to take part.
