TIME for a flashback with this blast from the past. The original beat 'em up, Street Fighter II, returns with a vengeance in celebration of the Capcom classic's 15th anniversary.

Every move is here with every attack combo available from the whole Street Fighter series. All the characters are present too so you can relive those special moments with friends where you spent hours battering the hell out of each other.

Five different fighting styles are available, representing the different versions of the game which appeared through the years on various platforms.

And the original 1994 short animation is also here.

It all seems quite appealing to add this title to your collection, but beware. Times have changed and beat 'em ups have come a long way in the last 15 years. For example, why would you want to play this if you've got Soul Calibur II in your collection already? For its novelty appeal, SF II is worth a look and if you were obsessed with the game before you may still be now.

But graphically it looks dated and some of the movement of the characters is noticably lacking in fluidity.

The special moves for each of the characters are still as entertaining as ever, particularly when you're about to get struck by your opponent and you pull one out of the bag.

The sound sticks rigidly to the original arcade music and FX, including Blanka's war cry. Generally, SF II may not be worth forking out your hard-earned cash on if you want to see the blood and gore of an up-to-date game of the genre, but it is worth a look if you want to relive your misspent youth.
