VOLUNTEERS across the Epping Forest district are being sought to look after future guide dogs as they undergo training.

A localisation of services provided by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association means it is no longer economic to keep its kennels in Woodford Bridge open.

It is now looking for people living near the homes of its specialist trainers to board its trainee dogs, parttime and with all expenses paid.

The charity supplies basic equipment and pays vet and feeding costs with continued support from a local team of specialist staff.

The ideal boarder would be willing to home, feed and groom the dog following guidelines set out by the dog's trainer, and have a safe, secure garden.
