A LITTER awareness day is taking place to clean up rubbish-afflicted areas of a town.
Loughton Town Council will be targeting three areas for a tidy up from 10am this Saturday, March 13.
The sites chosen are the riverside from Pyrles Lane to Willingale Road, the brook area in Roding Road, and Staples Road and its surrounding areas.
Councillors will be out and about taking plastic and glass bottles and cans to recycling banks and helping to clear away fly-tipping.
Residents who wish to join in the spring clean should contact the council on 020 8508 4200. Equipment including bags, gloves and litter pickers will be provided.
