TOP names from the youth music scene will be on hand to get the party going when a fundraising concert for the victims of the Haiti earthquake is held at Redbridge College.
Celebrities including Akai (winner of Sky 1's Got to Dance contest), The Mitchell Brothers, EMZ and MTV's Kat B, will perform in the Help for Haiti Concert at the college, in Chadwell Heath, on Friday, March 26.
The event has been organised to raise much-needed funds for the devastated Caribbean country which was hit by a massive earthquake in January - leaving 200,000 people dead and up to one million homeless.
Redbridge College’s Enrichment Coordinator Siobhan Clouter said: "Like most people we felt really upset watching the tragic events unfold in a country that has had an unstable history even prior to the devastating earthquake.
"There was a lot of superb fundraising activities undertaken by staff and students at the college immediately after the quake, and now two months on the media spotlight may have focused away from Haiti but support is still desperately needed to help Haitians return to some resemblance of normality.
"We hope that our Help for Haiti Concert will raise a lot of money for UNICEF's Haiti appeal and with the amazing acts that we have lined up, it really should be a great event."
Tickets for the event - which will run from 6.00pm until 9.00pm - are priced at £5 each and can be reserved by calling Redbridge College's Enrichment Team on: 8548 7143 or by email to: sclouter@redbridge-college.ac.uk.
