WANSTEAD: Choir sets date for 50th anniversary concert

5:00pm Wednesday 10th March 2010

A POPULAR singing group is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a charity concert.

The Cantamus Bach Choir has been delighting audiences with performances of work by a range of Baroque composers since it was formed in 1959.

The group - which rehearses at the United Reformed Church in Wanstead - will sing at Barnardos Village, in Tanner Lane, Barkingside, in celebration of its half century, on Saturday, March 20.

Money raised from the performance, which begins at 7.30pm, will be donated to the children's charity.

For information about tickets call Pauline Walker on: 8989 6969.
