THREE schools joined together for an evening of energetic music and dance.
The Oaktree group comprising Loughton's Oaklands School, Epping's Coopersale School, and Chingford's Normanhurst School all gathered together for the first time to perform a variety of musical pieces including Drop in the Ocean, Doe Ray Mee, and I Can See Clearly Now.
In the first half of the event, held at Chingford Assembly Hall, in Station Road, Chingford, Normanhurst performed a dance routine from West Side Story, Coopersale chose a country and western routine to Cottoneye Joe, while Oakland performed to music by Michael Jackson.
The second half saw all three schools gather together for a large choral arrangement of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Oaklands headteacher Pam Simmonds said: “The evening was a huge success and great fun for both participants and the audience.”
