BY the power of Grayskull, I have the power! It's hard to believe there has never been a next generation console game based on He Man, but finally Midas Interactive has filled the void. The game is based on He Man's home planet of Eternia and provides a combination of puzzle-solving and fighting.
At the beginning of the game He Man, aka Prince Adam, finds himself imprisoned and with the Sorceress of Grayskull, Teela'na and under attack from the evil Skeletor. He Man has to fight and think his way out of his confines and through a number of levels of enemies, including Beast Man and Tri-Klops. But there are allies along the way as well including the likes of Battle Cat.
The game is based on the original cartoon series and as such has kept a certain style about its graphics and appearance, which most 25 to 35-year-olds will be very familiar with. Midas is also hopeful they can appeal to the new cartoon generation.
The number of moves He Man seems to be able to perform with his larger than life sword are limited to begin with but increase at the end of every level and the span of the game seems impressive with ten levels and a variety of puzzles and enemies/allies to meet.
Fans of the cartoon series are no doubt going to love this one, but its appeal should stretch a bit further to any gamer who loves a bit of a rumble as well as a mental challenge.
