THOUSANDS of Hammers fans poured onto the streets of East Ham to celebrate the Irons hard fought 1-0 victory over Preston, and more importantly, the popular club's promotion to the Premiership after a two season absence.
Police were on hand to make sure celebrations went smoothly while fans from across East London cheered the team's victory bus on to Upton Park.
After a season of ups and downs the club looked like they were in for a tricky time at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in Monday's play-off final but bravely weathered the storm to secure their place back in the top-flight.
Now, the club which most had written off, will be travelling to the likes of Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, Highbury and Anfield to battle with the best in the country.
