TOTS at Rum Tum Tuggers Nursery, North Weald, enjoyed a visit from the Guide Dog Association as a treat for their fundraising efforts.
Last month the children made sun glasses for their parents to wear and sponsor as part of Shades Day, with the £200 raised going to the charity.
Nursery owner Hayley Martin-Burns said: "The children made large-framed sun glasses for their parents, who had to wear them all day and collect sponsorship while the day also encouraged parents to not only protect their child's skin from the sun, but their eyes as well. The glasses were liberally decorated with feathers and glitter and all these people were in Epping looking like Dame Edna Everage.
"We really appreciate the parents joining in with these events and we are always looking to raise money for good causes."
Association puppy walker Brenda Weaver took along nine-month-old puppy Quin and three-year old Maxie.
Ms Martin-Burns added: "Both the dogs were so beautifully calm and the children, particularly those who have never had a dog, got the chance to play and pat without the liveliness you get from the likes of your next door neighbours dog."
