FIVES crashed out of the League Cup despite posting a reasonable batting total.
The visitors opened the batting and worked their way to a fairly useful 264-9, thanks to knocks of 67 and 61 from Daniel Stevens and Russell Beckett respectively. Tom Yallop (43), Terry Ballard (23) and John Peters (33) provided good support.
But while bowlers Josh Peters and Ballard grabbed one wicket each, that was it as the hosts cruised to victory.
They had eight wickets to spare, with openers A Rollins and J Evans knocking of the majority of the runs.
