Chigwell Boys 2 Woodford Youth B 4 (Friendly U7): This three period friendly started well for the Foxes with Green breaking through and netting early.

Chigwell levelled the score by half time.

Woodford came out the stronger in the second half, Green again scoring with a fine effort.

Numerous changes by both sides saw the game even out although Green netted again for the Foxes in this period.

The final period saw the Chigwell keeper excelling and both sides scoring. MoM:Green.

Belmont 1 Woodford Youth A 6 (Friendly U9): The first five minutes were even but then Woodford took control.

A throw out by Green found Dalby who passed to man of the match Hyland, who in turn found Fox.

He slotted a lovely pass to Burgess who finished well.

The second came after some good movement off the ball by Ogunsanlu gave Hyland the space to put Gillard away.

He passed to Spicer-Irving to hit home with a well-finished shot in the bottom corner.

The third goal came direct from a corner. Hursi, seeing no player on the near post, curled it straight in.

The fourth goal came after a throw out by Green in goal found Klein.

He passed to Hursit who looked up and put an inch perfect crossfield pass to Ogunsalu.

He then went round a defender and crossed low and hard for Burgess to slot home.

Belmont got a consolation after a nice passing move.

Woodford's fifth was a close-range effort from Norman.

Woodford Yth C 2 Jays A 1: Woodford started well with Shatford going close in the first minute.

Woodford attacked with pace and Purkiss found Shatford who crossed for man of the match Caston to volley home.

Woodford were rewarded when a corner was slammed home by Purkiss.

Hamilton and Hindmarsh continued to impress in defence and Meakin was unlucky when he thumped a shot against the bar.

In the second half Jays came out and immediately scored. On came Paul, Fricker and Chadha who both played their part.

Philips then made a superb one-on-one save for Woodford to win the game.

Woodford Youth 4 UPR B 3 (Friendly U9): Woodford started off slowly and were soon punished by a UPR team who were up for the match.

Once Woodford dropped behind a quick reply was on the cards.

Burgess received a nice pass from Gillard and went on a mazy run beating a defender and the keeper to level the score.

A second soon followed after a Fox corner was put in by Burgess who snuck in between three defenders to toe poke home.

Woodford went 3-1 up when Hyland found Ogunsanlu in space.

He beat two defenders before slotting home.

Woodford's last came from a clearance by Klein which fell to Hyland whose pin-point pass found man of the man Fox to blast home.

Woodford fell asleep in the closing stages and UPR took full advantage with two well-taken goals.

Interwood 2 Woodford Youth A 2 (11-a-side): This was the first taste of 11-a-side for both teams.

Interwood took the lead when a pass from Hassan down the left found Bessex who scored.

The second half started with Woodford on top but two good saves from the Interwood keeper kept the score the same.

A good attack from Interwood almost made it two for the boys in green but the shot went wide after a last-ditch tackle by man of the match Hyland.

Woodford's Spicer-Irving latched onto a good pass from Fox and he drove home the equaliser.

Woodford scored their second after good play from Norman and Hursit put Unwin through to score with a deflection.

Woodford could have had a couple more had it not been for the cross bar and a brilliant save by the Interwood keeper.

Interwood were refused a penalty when Bessex went crashed down but got their equaliser in the dying seconds when Reece powered home a low drive.

Harold Hill 0 Woodford Youth 3 (U9a Echo League Kent Div): The game started with Woodford pushing on to Harold Hill who were pinned in to their own half.

With the power of Norman and the tricks of Hursit and Fox, Harold Hill had no answers.

A nice move involving Ogunsanlu, Fox and man of the match Norman picked out Hursit who went past two defenders with ease and slotted home.

Woodford came out for the second half looking in control and seeking to add to their goals-scored tally. A pass from Dalby to Klein then found Burgess.

He passed to Hyland whose shot was deflected for a corner.

The resulting corner by Hursit found Norman to head home.

The third goal came after some strong play by Gillard.

He found Spicer-Irving who really battled to get the ball in the centre for Hursit to score his second goal.

Green in the Woodford goal never made a save but was alert to any danger as usual.

Byron A 2 Woodford Youth 2 (Echo League U9): Byron snatched a draw with a last-gasp equaliser.

Snaresbrook Youth 1 Grays 2 (Premier League U15): Grays' free kick five minutes from time left the Brook empty handed.

The opposition took the lead after 25 minutes with a low cross from the right.

Briggs and Caine went close with efforts and Dardis had another good display at the back.

Snaresbrook drew level when Goldstein blasted in a free-kick.

Keeper Smyth kept them in the game with a fine penalty save diving to his left, but the Brook were punished late on.

Futebol De Salle 1 Park View Rangers 5 (Camden and Islington League Cup U13): Parkview's U13s advanced to the final of the League Cup final, despite going a goal down in the first minute.

Rangers roared back with a hat-trick from Yeboah. Rowe added another and an own-goal completed the scoring to set up a final date.

The Elite Soccer man of the match award went to Campbell.

West Essex Colts 0 Old Bealonians Youth 0 AET West Essex Colts won 4-2 on penalties (London AFA Cup Final U11): Both teams battled out a good performance in difficult conditions.

Fitzpatrick, the West Essex right back, came close to breaking the deadlock in the first half with a long-range shot that the Old Bealonians goalkeeper managed to hold.

The Colts used their downhill advantage in the first half and Meyer had two chances after being put through by Tollady and Parker.

Tollady then floated a free-kick wide of the far post.

Parker had a snap shot gathered. Old Bealonians rarely threatened but did force three corners in the first half.

The second half saw Old Bealonians kicking downhill with the wind at their backs but they couldn't capitalise.

Meyer's effort went wide after good work from Heenan and Fitzpatrick.

In extra time there were no clear cut openings, and the dreaded penalty shoot out was about to separate the sides.

Old Bealonians took the first penalty and the West Essex goalkeeper, Bliss saved.

West Essex only needed four kicks to win the game.

They found the back of the net each time as their opponents missed two and the Highams Park-based side went home winners 4-2 on penalites.

Byron C 0 Buckhurst Hill 1 (Friendly League U7): Hill had the best chances in the first half with Olivelle going close.

Grenfell played well and his determination paid off when he jinked past two players before shooting past the keeper.

In the second half Hill continued to dominate and should have scored more with Bennett hitting the crossbar and the Byron keeper saving well from Hawkins, Lawrence and O Williams.
