Interwood 5 Phoenix Youth 1 (Waltham Forest District League Cup Final U16): Already league champions and harshly defeated in the semi-final of the London Cup, Interwood were highly motivated to beat their old rivals Phoenix Youth. Interwood (above) took control with two early goals from Whilby and Serino. With constant pressure being applied more goals were anticipated but at half time the score was 2-0. Interwood maintained their control and two opportunist goals from Barker-Francis sealed the game at 4-0.
Phoenix pulled one back with a free-kick from their number 10 to make it 4-1, but a late individual goal from Whilby finalised matters at 5-1.
