Make sure to visit this page from the early hours of Friday morning (May 5) for all the results from today's Epping Forest District Council elections.

The Conservatives and Liberal Democrats are contesting all 20 seats up for grabs today, with the Tories needing to reach the magic 30-mark - that means winning ten of the 20 seats today - to take control of the 58-seat authority for the first time in 12 years.

Seats are also being contested by Labour, Loughton Residents Association, the British National Party, and sole candidates standing for the English Democrats Party and as an Independent Socialist hopeful.

Seven councillors, including three group leaders - Michael Heavens (Liberal Democrat group), Joan Davis (Labour) and Ken Faulkner (Loughton Residents Association) - are standing down at this year's elections.

All the results are expected to have been declared by about 3am on Friday.
