Broadwater United 1 Leyton 0 (Waltham Forest Mini League Cup U10): Leyton took part in their second cup final in two weeks but this time had to settle for runners-up.

Leyton had most of the possession and created the most chances but failed to convert them into goals.

The only goal came mid-way through the first half and proved to be the winner. Leyton's team coaches Ray Scott and David Waite said afterwards: " The team played excellent football and even though they lost in the final they should be proud of the fact that to reach the final they beat the League winners Boca, and an excellent Ryan FC team in the semi-final.

"They have now experienced the joy of winning a final and also a loss. It will make them stronger players next season" Any team looking to prepare their team to play 11-a-side football next season, with home or away friendly matches, can contact Scott on: 07973 271 431 to arrange a fixture.

Waltham Forest Reds 0 Millwall Albion 0 (Barking Mini League Cup Final U9): The Reds failed to add the cup to their league crown in a match they dominated from the start.

But after a scoreless match and extra time, Millwall lifted the trophy by winning a penalty shoot-out. With Forest's Pate and Colgan outstanding at the back all the pressure was on the Millwall defence.

However, they failed to make their superiority count, hitting the post with a drive from Tibbitts and squandering numerous opportunities from corners.

The second half and extra time saw Millwall on the back foot. But in the spot-kick decider they held their nerve to lift the trophy.
