FOUR men arrested on suspicion of the murder of a Polish man in Epping Forest ten months ago have been released on police bail.

Rafal Czapczyk, 28, from Gdynia, Poland, was shot near the Wake Road car park, High Beech, on July 15 last year.

But it was two months before his body was identified by Interpol.

Mr Czapczyk had been in the country since January 2005 and worked as a deck-hand, labourer and builder.

He was found in the forest by two passers-by and was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone, where he died within hours.

Essex Police worked with Metropolitan Police officers in a joint armed operation which led to the arrest of four Polish men last week in connection with the crime.

A 24-year-old and a 26-year-old, both from Hackney, a 27-year-old, from Newham, and a 25-year-old, from Barking, were taken into custody last Wednesday.

All the men were questioned and released on police bail until July 17 pending further investigations.
