ARTISTS are being sought for Wanstead's first week-long “art trail”.
It is set to take place on September 19 at the same time as the Wanstead Festival and throughout the following week.
During that time, the trail will see shops and businesses in the High Street transformed into galleries showing local artists' work.
And organisers are now calling on residents of Wanstead, Snaresbrook and Aldersbrook to submit artworks, both professional and amateur, to go on display.
The event is aimed at attracting people to Wanstead High Street, as well as giving artists a platform to showcase their work.
Organised by the Wanstead Society, other events and groups in the area will also be advertised during the week.
Applications to take part must be received by May 21.
