FIREFIGHTERS were called to a quiet Loughton street to tackle a car blaze in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
Two crews from Loughton fire station arrived at the scene in Church Lane after receiving an emergency call at 2.39am.
The burning car was dangerously close to a house in the street, but officers wearing breathing apparatus managed to prevent the blaze spreading and eventually put out the flames by 3.13am.
