MEMBERS of the Noor UI Islam Trust donated more than £6,000 for the Big Push maternity appeal.
The Leyton-based charity's donation is to help Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone to raise £350,000 for equipment for the hospital's maternity unit.
Chief executive at Whipps Cross, Lucy Moore, said: "We're delighted to receive the kind and continued support of the Noor UI Islam Trust and we thank them warmly for their encouragement and fantastic contribution."
Chairman of Noor UI Islam Trust, Yusuf Hansa, and members presented the cheque for £6,135 on Monday and received a tour of the new developments in the unit, including single en-suite delivery rooms, a bereavement suite and a resting area for partners.
