A TEENAGER has reportedly suffered chest wounds following a drive-by shooting.
The boy is said to have been targeted by a gunman in a car in Queensland Close, of North Countess Road, in the Priory Court Estate area of Walthamstow, at just after midnight this morning (Friday).
The victims injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A number of witnesses said armed police descended on the area.
The incident is the second shooting within ten days in the Higham Hill area of Walthamstow.
A 16-year-old was shot in the face and arm through an open window at his home in Lyne Crescent on June 8.
He is recovering in hospital.
Priory Court has been blighted by gang activity and residents say young people regularly congregate on the street.
The estate is said to be home to members of the Grey Gang.
