A TEENAGE girl was sexually assaulted in broad daylight.
The 18-year-old was walking in an alleyway between Sainsbury’s and Morrison’s supermarkets, off Chingford Road, at 5.30pm on June 11 when she was grabbed from behind.
She was then pulled to the ground and sexually assaulted in a nearby clearing, suffering scratches to her arms and around her eyes.
A forensics tent was erected at the scene and officers searched the area on Saturday morning.
The attacker is described as an Asian man, aged about 18 years old, wearing a dark hooded top with white stripes on the arms, black combat trousers, a gold-coloured necklace with a dollar pendant.
A police spokesman: "This was an awful assault of a young girl, we urge any witnesses to this offence or anyone with any information to come forward"
