FAMILIES enjoying their summer break are being urged to make the most of the forest on their doorstep.
Epping Forest Field Centre, in Nursery Lane, High Beach, has activities available throughout the summer months.
Themed two-hour safaris will be available on August 4, 5, 11, 18, 19 and 26 for children of primary school age while drop-in days at the centre include Pond Dipping, on Tuesday, August 17, Forest Explorers and Minibeasts on August 3 and 24 and Map and Compass on Tuesday, August 10.
Sessions take place on a drop-in basis any time from 1pm to 4pm.
