POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run crash, in which a seven-year-old boy was left fighting for his life after being knocked down by a van.
Officers were called to Leyswood Drive in Ilford at around 5.15pm yesterday (July 28) after reports of a child being hit by a blue van, which failed to stop at the scene.
Police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, and the boy was taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
