NORTH Weald Airfield is hosting a special fun day to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Up to 30 static aircraft are expected to be on display next Sunday (September 12) including Hawker Hurricanes, Kent Spitfires and visitors from the Air Atlantique Historic Flight, as well as a selection of military vehicles.
There will also be community stalls and displays and a bouncy castle and entertainer for children.
Entrance will be £10 between 10am and 12pm and £5 thereafter, with the fun day finishing at 4.30pm.
Over 65s and under 12s get in free and there will be a shuttle bus service for pedestrians operating between the museum, in Merlin Way, and the airfield.
