A BUS driver was assaulted by a motorist as he stopped to pick up passengers.

Police say the driver of a 250 bus was cut up by a blue Mustang as he was driving in Waltham Abbey at around midday on Saturday, September 18.

Around 20 minutes later as the bus driver pulled up at a stop in Shernbroke Road to pick up passengers, the driver of the Mustang boarded and began to punch and kick the driver leaving him with bruising, cuts and a bloody nose.

The suspect is described as aged 40, 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, with short dark brown hair. He was clean-shaven and wore a light blue shirt and blue jeans.
