A CHINGFORD song writer has released a charity CD to raise awareness of sex trafficking.
The CD, compiled by music producer, writer and drummer Phil Knight, will raise money for The Helen Bamber Foundation, a human rights organisation aimed at helping survivors of cruelty.
The album, Just Enough for the Real World, features tracks from rock star Jim Distortion from Distorted Breed, and West End actress Charlotte Rigby, about the lives of people who disappear into the world of human trafficking.
The CD has sold out online and 30 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to The Helen Bamber Foundation.
Mr Knight, 26, of Ainslie Wood Road, Chingford, said: “The album is inspired by the idea that normal people can go ahead with their day to day lives without knowing the impact trafficking has on others.
“One song is about a girl who has been trafficked on a street and no one is aware of it.
“I would love to see one of the songs make it to number one in the charts.”
The CD was released last Thursday (September 23).
