FATHER Christmas will make an early appearance in the district this year when the Chigwellian Choral Society performs Benjamin Britten's work Saint Nicolas.
The choir will join forces with boys from the Loyola Preparatory School Choir, in Buckhurst Hill, to stage the piece which tells the story of the man who became the patron saint of children.
Singing the title role of St Nicolas will be former Royal Opera House tenor Robert Anthony Gardiner and the performance will take place at St John's Church, in St John's Road, Epping, at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 13.
