WANSTEAD: Man injured in hit-and-run attack
POLICE are investigating a hit-and-run attack that left a man injured this morning.
A black Volkswagen Golf was driven at a group of people walking along the pavement in Overton Drive, near Wanstead Golf Club, at about 6.15am today.
One man, who is thought to have been an off-duty police officer, was taken to hospital with leg injuries.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said no arrests had yet been made and anyone with information on the incident should call officers on 0300 123 1212.
