QUIFFS and rock and roll 50s style were the order of the day for youngsters at a summer acting school.

Children between the ages of six and 15 came together to perform scenes from the classic musical Grease under the guidance of professional tutors from Real Actors' Workshop (RAW).

Boys dressed up as the T-birds and the girls donned the costume of the Pink Ladies, the two legendary teen gangs from the film.

They presented the finished work to an audience of family and friends at the end of the week long course, in Highams Park Baptist Church, Cavendish Road.

Sam Edmonds, director of RAW, said: "The kids absolutely loved it. Some of them had such a good time they came back for more on this week's course. They didn't want it to end."

RAW run acting courses during term time as well as during the holidays in Woodford Green United Free Church. For more information call Ms Edmonds on 0788 438097.
